雪村「列子御風図」てぬぐい

当館所蔵の古美術の中でも人気の高い、雪村筆「列子御風図」が、てぬぐいになりました。
列子は中国・戦国時代の道家の一人で、風を意のままに操ることができたと伝えられる仙人。自分が風に乗っているのか風になったのか、その境地を窺わせる表情で天空を浮遊する姿が描かれています。
雪村の勢いのある筆致や繊細な線を崩さないよう、1枚1枚職人の手刷りで作られています。

◆Hand Towel Featuring Portrait of Lie Zi by Sesson
One of the most popular works in the Hara Rokuro Collection is now available as a hand towel.
Lie Zi was a Daoist hermit who lived during China's Warring States Period. Alleged to have had the ability to control the wind at will, he is depicted floating in the sky with an expression that suggests that either he is riding on the wind or has become the wind itself.
Each towel is carefully printed by hand by artisans to preserve Sesson's vigorous brushwork and delicate strokes.
