ヨロヨロン 束芋展記念、原美術館オリジナルグッズ。
帆前掛けとは、かつての酒屋さんが業務用にあつらえて使用した、染め抜きの前掛けのこと。このエプロンのために束芋が描き下ろした作品を使用。現代美術の先端を走る作家の新作を、伝統的な型染めという技法で仕上げることにこだわった一枚。宮城の染職人さんに一枚一枚丁寧に染めていただいています。印刷のものと違い、時を経て使い込むほど風合いの増す、長くご愛用いただける丈夫なエプロン。ギフトにも喜ばれること請け合いです。丈は膝丈、片ポケットつきで、使いやすい仕様になっています。男女兼用。

◆Tabaimo's homaekake apron with mushi asobi (playing with insect) motif
This Hara Museum original apron (homaekake in Japanese) was produced on the occasion of the exhibition YOROYORON Tabaimo (2006). Its motif consists of a drawing made by Tabaimo especially for this short apron. A homaekake is normally worn by Japanese sake merchants. As such, it is a unique embodiment of this artist's cutting-edge work, produced using traditional kata-zome (Japanese stencil dying) techniques and individually dyed by artisans in Miyagi Prefecture. Unlike printed textiles, this tough apron increases in charm over time. Knee-length with a convenient pocket. Ideal for personal use or as a gift. For both men and women.
