加藤泉－LIKE A ROLLING SNOWBALL　展覧会図録

2019年7月13日－2020年1月13日まで、原美術館とハラ ミュージアム アークの2館で開催された展覧会の図録。
加藤泉は1990年代より絵画作品を発表、2000年代からは木彫も手がけ、2007年ヴェネチアビエンナーレ国際美術展への招聘をきっかけに国際的な評価を獲得し、日本・アジア・欧米とその活動の舞台を広げてきました。
近年ではソフトビニール、石、ファブリックなど多様な素材を用いたダイナミックなインスタレーションを展開する一方で、新たに版画制作にも取り組むなど、その意欲的な創作活動が多くの注目を集めています。
本書は展覧会の出品作品をフルカラーで網羅し、ビブリオグラフィ、バイオグラフィ、論評とともに掲載。加藤泉の初期から最新作まで、その全貌に迫る作品集となっております。

◆Exhibition Catalogue for IZUMI KATO – LIKE A ROLLING SNOWBALL
This catalogue was published on the occasion of two Izumi Kato solo exhibitions that were held concurrently at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Shinagawa and Hara Museum ARC in Shibukawa, Gunma from July 13, 2019 to January 13, 2020.
Izumi Kato began exhibiting paintings from the 1990s and wooden sculptures from the 2000s. The international acclaim that he garnered from his appearance at the 2007 Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition helped expand the scope of his activities which now encompass Japan and other Asian countries, North America and Europe.
In recent years, much attention has been directed towards his new endeavors, such as the creation of dynamic installations made with a variety of materials such as soft vinyl, stone, and fabric, and more recently the making of prints.
The catalogue contains full-color plates of all the works that appeared at both venues, as well as an extensive bibliography, artist profile and critical commentaries. It also provides a comprehensive overview of the artist's career to date, from the early days to the present.
